25 years of coastal sailing and a dream of extended cruising.

Since my mate of 47 years has finally retired from teaching, it is time to go to sea for extended cruising. Like most coastal sailors, there is a calling to see what is beyond the horizon. Many of our sailing frineds have already been "out there" . Soon, very soon, we will be joining them

Our boat is a 1998 Beneteau 411, two cabin model. She is outfitted with radios, chart plotters, and all the comforts of home if you happen to live in a dumpster. We have spent three years outfitting her for extended sea time.

The voyage date is set. That will be the last scheduled item we will have for a while since to set schedules is a no-no. Join us as we plunder along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the US. It won't all be blue water sailing since some of the good stuff is near shore.
